This is why I love the Midwest.

Update: It is 20 degrees below zero today with the wind chill. This is my first day back to work in a week. That is why I hate the Midwest.

That’s funny, it’s also why I love California.

Sometimes I think I want to visit Chicago and see the sites. Order a hot dog with no ketchup. Go look at my reflection in that giant metallic jelly bean you guys have. Perhaps even see if I can handle your notoriously deep dished pizza. Then I read posts like this and remember that everything east of the rockies is a subzero deathtrap playground for Beelzebub.

baltimore has been a steady 42 or so all winter. i dont think its gone below freezing more than 2 or 3 nights. global warming is clearly a hoax.

It looks very much like that in the Northeast, but it’s 3 degrees above zero w/ windchill. Woo!

don: i hear you, brother, especially as i stood on the unsheltered train platform this morning after one train was canceled, and the next one was 30 minutes late.
kevin: thanks! and i can see why you were tempted to make snow angels!
dustin: pfft. you’re young. you’ve lived in nyc. you should be able to handle a little cold weather! chicago welcomes you!
steph: 42? that’s like summer here! i’m moving to baltimore!
claire: i think it just makes us stronger… doesn’t it?

That’s a beautiful photo, Jenny, but I’m very glad that you took it and not me.

No comment. See my latest post. I didn’t copy you–honest. It’s a case of great minds occasionally drifting apart.
